STAIND Is ‘Finishing Up’ New Studio Album
22/11/2022STAIND is working on a new studio LP that will be released in 2023, according to Mike Mushok, who spoke with the “Talk Toomey” podcast. The guitarist described the group’s goals for the upcoming months as follows:
“STAIND is finishing up an album, actually. That’ll be out next year. And I think there’s some shows that’ll be next year as well. So we’re kind of juggling all of that.”
Mushok previously revealed to Atlantic City Weekly in September that he and STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis would each continue to work on separate projects in addition to their long-running group, Mushok with SAINT ASONIA, the band he co-founded in 2015 with ex-THREE DAYS GRACE singer Adam Gontier, and Lewis with his country solo career.
STAIND concluded a brief U.S. tour in September.
STAIND accompanied KORN on a tour of the United States last year.
In North America last year, the band was supposed to open for DISTURBED on “The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour,” however the amphitheatre tour was postponed owing to the coronavirus epidemic that is sweeping the planet.
Since 1995, STAIND has put out seven albums, the most recent of which was its own title album in 2011. The Top 10 blockbuster “It’s Been Awhile” from the No. 1 album “Break The Cycle” is just one of the band’s many Top 10 hits during the course of its first two decades. The follow-up LPs “Chapter V” and “14 Shades of Grey” also debuted at the top of the Billboard list. At the Louder Than Life music event in Louisville, Kentucky, in September 2019, STAIND performed their first complete live performance in five years.
