CHRIS JERICHO Says FOZZY Might Focus On Releasing Singles Instead Of Full-Length Albums

Chris Jericho is an American-Canadian professional wrestler and singer who was born Christopher Keith Irvine on November 9, 1970. He is the manager of the Jericho Appreciation Society stable and is presently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He also represents Ring of Honor (ROH), a sibling organisation of AEW, where he currently holds the title of ROH World Champion for the first time. One of the best professional wrestlers of all time, according to journalists and industry peers, Jericho is renowned for his over-the-top rock star image, in-ring technical wrestling abilities, and capacity to continually reinvent his character.

Jericho joined the heavy metal band Fozzy in 1999, and the group’s self-titled first album was released the following year. The majority of the band’s early recordings are cover versions, but starting with their third album, All That Remains (2005), they have mostly concentrated on original music. In addition, Jericho has made several television appearances throughout the years, including the 2011 Dancing With the Stars season. In 2011, the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, the ABC game programme Downfall, and the UK’s Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2012 and 2017 were all hosted by him.

Chris Jericho, the lead vocalist of FOZZY, has revealed that he and his colleagues may choose to concentrate on releasing singles rather than a follow-up to 2022’s “Boombox” album. In an interview with Eonmusic to promote the band’s November tour of the UK and Ireland, the leader made the remark.

Chris discussed the upcoming tour, during which FOZZY will perform at some of the largest venues they have yet played in the United Kingdom and Ireland:

“We wanted to keep the momentum going and come back again and play some bigger places. It really is a second home for us, and it’s always important for us to continue to build the territory and continue to come back frequently, which is why we’re coming back.”

“To see the growth of the band is the most important thing. We’re not doing this to play ‘rock star’; we’re doing it to build FOZZY and build the brand. It’s a business, so you want that business to be profitable, and when you get to the point where you figure out how to do that, it is very gratifying.” Jericho said when considering FOZZY’s ascent.

Even though “Boombox,” FOZZY’s eighth album, debuted on various charts when it was released in May, Jericho hinted that the band’s strategy for releasing new music may change moving ahead. Chris Jericho (vocals), Billy Grey (guitars), Rich Ward (guitars, vocals), Grant Brooks (drums), and P.J. Farley (bass) make up FOZZY.
