Godsmack Debut Catchy New Song ‘Surrender’

Godsmack, a legendary band in the hard rock genre, have returned with the catchy new song “Surrender” after months of assuring fans that new music was actually on the way.

Fans eagerly awaited the release of Godsmack’s first new music since the release of their eighth studio album, When Legends Rise, in 2018. The band posted a tiny preview of the song’s instrumentation, creating a lot of hype.

Godsmack are still the hit-writing powerhouses we’ve always known them to be, which is one thing “Surrender” makes clear 25 years after the release of their debut album. It’s something to treasure, especially in light of the fact that the band’s frontman, Sully Erna, hinted earlier this year that this new record would be their final one.

Sully Erna, the vocalist and guitarist, describes “Surrender” as a fairly straightforward song, describing it as “Very cut and dry “

Sully adds “It’s simply about the exhaustion we can all feel in relationships at times from the redundancy of fighting with each other. At a certain point in our lives, we submit to putting aside who’s right or wrong, we just want it to STOP! So we wave the white flag.”
